Hello Dear Humans,

The full flux of fall's transition is upon us. Today massive winds blew out of the south, bringing a dust storm that obscured the mountains with a veil of white-orange dust followed by a few rain drops. Just a few, however it feels significant given the lack of rain in recent memory.

An update on the strange weather of Southern New Mexico is not the purpose of this email though.  I just wanted to let you know about TWO random draws for a chance to purchase that are now under way.

Maybe for the first time ever, both the pieces available are blue.

Blue Skies was woven with both a warp and weft of organic cotton-linen. It measures 5.2 meters in length.

Indigo & Black Walnut was woven on a warp of organic cotton-linen with a weft of raw silk that was all dyed with indigo and black walnuts. On one end are a few stripes of threads that are marigold with an indigo over-dye. The black walnuts were harvested in the mountains outside of where I live in Truth or Consequences, NM. One of my favorite times of the year is when it is time to go explore the forest in search of these majestic trees, and search the forest floor for these beautiful color-bearing fruits. This piece measures 4.6 meters in length and has unhemmed selvedges.
