In this collection of wearable wooly sculptures I did a lot of experimentation with textures. It is the first time that I used the seacell/merino/silk for fringe, and it worked SO well. It is lusciously soft and gorgeously playful.
Woven on a warp of Black Walnut dyed organic merino wool with a weft of naturally dyed chunky Merino. The weft was dyed with Black Walnuts, Marigold, Sandalwood & Cochineal. The resplendent mane of fringe is made with sea cell/merino/silk that was dyed with Cochineal, Sandalwood, Buckthorn, Marigold, Black Walnuts, Onion Skins and Mountain Holly.
