They are treasures, found in small depressions of earth high in ponderosa meadows. New Mexico Lupine (Lupinus sierrae-blancae) & Chaplains Columbine (Aquilegia chaplinei), are both native to this area of New Mexico. The Columbine especially is a sweet and rare treat of deep wilderness canyons.
