I am trying something new! I am going to have a live auction via Facebook for Elation Handwoven Art Yardage.
The auction will start on Friday January 23rd at 12 noon (mst) and will on sunday the 25th at 12 noon (mst). I will make a post on the 23rd and you can comment with your bid. At precisely 12 noon (mst) on the 25th the auction will end.

This piece was woven with a warp of organic cotton-linen and a weft of raw silk and measures 4.7 meters.
I'd also like to share a little about another of my newest creations, a large woolen blanket. This woolen blanket is inspired by the blankets woven by the Gaddi people in the Indian Himalaya. The Gaddi blankets are some of the first textiles to deeply inspire me. These simple, functional, beautiful blankets are the reason I started weaving. Frequently these blankets are woven in two or more narrower sections, hand stitched together using the stitch that you see here in this piece. You can find lots more photos of it here on my website.
This blanket was woven on a warp of organic cotton-linen with a weft of hand dyed Chilean wool. It measures 98 x 65 inches or 249 x 165 cm. It covers a full size bed.
